📙 Enhanced Proofreading
In addition to addressing errors such as spelling, grammar, punctuation, and missing words, I will also correct word usage to ensure that the words are used in their proper context, and flag character inconsistencies. Does your character have blue eyes in chapter 3, but green eyes in chapter 12? Were they introduced as an only child and later reference a sibling? These types of blunders can distract readers from your story and potentially affect reader reviews.
In some situations, a few words may need to be re-arranged, so the sentence is easier to read or to clarify who is speaking in between action beats. Though I aim to improve readability, I will not alter your writing style, tone, or voice.

📚 My Process
As I edit, I will use Microsoft Word’s Track Changes, leaving you in the driver’s seat to accept or reject any suggestions I provide. I may ask questions in the comments section, noting any particular concerns.
With the Budget Proofreading Service, once I send the manuscript back to you to review the suggested changes, you will be able to accept/reject as appropriate. Once you have completed those steps you are ready to move forward with the rest of your publishing plans.
Additionally, with the Enhanced Proofreading Service, once you make any necessary updates, you will then pass the manuscript back to me for a final review. At this point, I will examine the revised manuscript to make sure no new mistakes were introduced inadvertently during the editing process.
